The Friends of Hyde Park board voted to sign onto the following letter with the Austin Justice Coalition, Just Liberty, and many other Austin groups calling on the Austin City Council and the Austin City Manager to fire the Austin Police Chief, Brian Manley, and to institute other major police reforms to end police violence in Austin. This is only the first step in many that are needed to bring about real change. The Austin City Council is holding a meeting today to discuss if they will take any action, so it’s important that your voice be heard now. If you’d like to help, below are some ways that you can.
